Outsource Your 3D Printing Production: Scale Past Your Own Printers

For Makers Who Outgrew Their Printers

You Built It. You Shouldn't Have to Babysit Printers to Sell It.

You designed a product, proved it works, and demand is growing. Now you're running your printers around the clock and still can't keep up — tied to the machines instead of growing the business. That's exactly where we come in.

The short version: If you've validated a product on your own one, two, or three printers and hit the wall where you can't scale without becoming a full-time print operator, hand the production to us. We take your proven file and make it at volume on 85+ printers — no tooling, no minimum, consistent quality — so you get your time back and your product keeps shipping. You did the hard part. Let us run the machines.

The Trap of Printing It Yourself

Here's a story we hear all the time, because we lived a version of it ourselves. Someone develops a product — or an accessory for their main product — prints it on a few machines, and it takes off. Great problem, until it isn't. The printers run 24/7 and still can't keep up. Every failed print is lost margin and a missed order. And the founder is now chained to the machines.

One of our customers put it about as plainly as it gets:

“We had three printers running 24/7 and still couldn't scale it. I couldn't even leave the house — I was tied to the machines. I didn't want to build a print farm and spend all my time running it instead of actually selling my product.”

That's the trap. The thing that started as a clever way to make your product becomes a second full-time job you never signed up for — a manufacturing operation you have to staff, maintain, and babysit, instead of the business you actually set out to build.

You've Already Done the Hard Part

Here's what's easy to lose sight of when you're buried in failed prints: you already solved the hard problems. You designed a part that works. You dialed in the material and the settings. And — rarest of all — you proved there's real demand for it. Most products never get that far. The one thing left is pure production grind: running machines, over and over, reliably, at volume. That's the part that doesn't need you — it needs a fleet.

That's the clean handoff. You keep the design, the brand, the customers, and the parts of the business only you can do. We take the machine time off your plate.

Signs You've Outgrown Your Own Printers

→

Your printers run around the clock and you still can't keep up with orders.

→

You're tied to the machines — hard to travel, take time off, or step away.

→

Failed prints are quietly eating your margin and causing missed shipments.

→

You're spending your time on production instead of selling, designing, and growing.

→

You're eyeing printer #4, #5, #6 — and realizing you're about to become a factory.

→

You'd grow faster if production simply wasn't your problem anymore.

If you're nodding at more than one of these, you haven't failed at anything — you've succeeded past what a few printers can handle. That's a good problem, and it has a clean solution.

We Were You — a Few Years Ahead

This isn't a pitch from people who've never done it. Chatelet started with printers in a garage, making products and learning the exact grind you're in now. We scaled that into a production operation with 85+ printers, validated engineering materials, and the quality control to hold consistency across thousands of parts — so you don't have to build any of that yourself. When you hand us your product, you're handing it to people who ran the same machines, hit the same wall, and built the thing on the other side of it. See our production capacity.

How the Handoff Works

It's designed to be simple, because you've already done the setup work. Send us your validated file and tell us the material and settings you've been using. We match it (or recommend an improvement if we see one), print a first article for you to approve against your own standard, then run production at the volume you need. Your file stays on record, so reorders are just a message — no re-setup, no minimums, no tooling. You go from “chained to the printers” to “send an email when you need more.”

Get Your Time Back

Send us the product you've been printing yourself — your file, your material, your current volume. We'll quote it, match your quality, and take production off your plate. As soon as one week to first parts, depending on complexity and volume.

Hand Off Your Production

Frequently Asked Questions

I already print my product myself — why outsource?
Because DIY printing stops scaling the moment demand outgrows your machines. Running a few printers around the clock ties you to production instead of designing, selling, and growing. Outsourcing frees your time and capacity while your product keeps shipping — without buying more printers or babysitting print beds.
Can you produce a part I already designed and validated?
Yes — that's the ideal handoff. You've proven the design and the demand, which is the hard part. We take your validated file, match the material and process, and produce it at volume so you can step out of production.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum and no tooling. Start with the quantity you actually need and scale as demand grows. Reorders run from your file with no setup.
Will the outsourced parts match what I print myself?
They should match or improve on it — we use locked process parameters and first-article approval for consistency across the run, often more consistent than a small setup can hold running around the clock. We confirm the first article against your standard before the full run.
Do I keep control of my product and design?
Completely. You keep your design, brand, and customers. We're your production — not a partner in your product. Your file is yours, and we produce to your spec.
