“That part is no longer available.” When a supplier discontinues a component, a mold is gone, or the machine is decades old, a single missing plastic part can stop a line. We reproduce it — from a file or a sample — with no tooling.

The short version: We reproduce discontinued and obsolete plastic parts from a CAD file or a physical sample — reverse-engineering the geometry when no drawings exist. No tooling means even a single replacement is viable, the validated file is kept for on-demand reorders, and the reproduction can be upgraded (stronger material, reinforced failure points) to outlast the original.

When a Small Part Stops Everything

The most expensive parts are often the cheapest ones — because when a discontinued bracket, housing, gear, or cover fails and can't be bought, the loss isn't the part, it's the idle machine or the unsellable product behind it. The usual options are bad: a “bridge buy” of scarce stock that ties up cash and may run out anyway, scavenging secondhand units, or replacing an entire working machine because one component is unobtainable.

Additive manufacturing offers a fourth path. If the part exists as a file or even just a physical sample, it can be reproduced domestically, on demand, without tooling — and kept on record so the next one is a reorder, not a crisis.

Start with what you have

A CAD file, an old drawing, or just the physical part — even worn or partially broken. Any one of these is enough to begin.

Reverse-engineer the geometry

Where no usable CAD exists, we measure and (as needed) 3D scan the part, then reconstruct a clean, production-ready model — correcting for wear, damage, or missing features.

Choose the right material — or upgrade it

We match an engineering thermoplastic to the part's real service conditions, and can deliberately improve on the original where it used to fail. You own the resulting file.

The Quiet Advantage: Make It Better

A discontinued part failed for a reason — sometimes it was under-designed from the start. Because we rebuild it as a fresh CAD model rather than copying a mold, the reproduction is a chance to fix that: upgrade a brittle original to glass filled nylon or carbon fiber nylon, reinforce a chronic crack point, or add heat-set inserts where printed threads used to strip. The replacement can outlast the part it replaces. We'll always confirm fit and function against the original first, and flag honestly if a part's requirements (high heat, heavy structural load) point to a different process.
